Keryn is an AHPRA registered clinical psychologist who consults with patients privately or with a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan giving access to Medicare rebated sessions.
Keryn works relationally from an attachment and trauma informed therapeutic orientation and depending on a patient’s needs and preferences, she uses a variety of evidence-based approaches including psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, and strengths based approaches.
Keryn has experience working with patients across the adult lifespan and has experience working with older adults (65+ years). Keryn works with a range presentations and different mental health concerns and has a particular interest in perinatal mental health and wellbeing. This is often seen as a space for the mental health of expecting and postpartum mothers, however it very much includes a space for partners and fathers and their own perinatal experience. Keryn is a Member of The Centre for Perinatal Psychology, and has completed further training including the Perinatal Infant Mental Health Intensive Training (45 hours) and the Grief, Trauma and Attachment: An Integrated Approach to Perinatal Loss Training (24 hours). Further more Keryn has completed training in Medicare Perinatal Non-directive Counselling, The Royal Children’s Hospital Engaging Infants program, The Australian Childhood Foundation’s Bringing Up Great Kids facilitator training and Gottman Bringing Baby Home program. Keryn also has experience working with carers impacted by a cancer diagnosis and is a part of the Carer Psychology Team at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.
